WOW...what an unforgettable 8 days in the British Virgin Islands! Our group of seven had the absolute best time aboard the Awatea catamaran! The crew were wonderful hosts and so accommodating. They really are true professionals and enjoy taking care of their guests.
Every day felt like a postcard—turquoise water, hidden coves, incredible snorkeling, beach bars, island hopping, and sunsets that didn't even look real. We swam with sea turtles, ate like we were in a fine dining establishment, laughed until our stomachs hurt, soaked up the sunshine, and made memories we'll be talking about for years.
The catamaran was beautiful, comfortable, and had plenty of space for all of us to spread out, relax, or hang out together. I loved the sustainability efforts with the fresh herbs and solar panels, and nothing went to waste. There was never a dull moment, but it was also the perfect place to kick back with a drink and enjoy the amazing views. There was Wi-Fi available, if we needed it. This allowed us to keep in contact with our loved ones back home and to share the experiences in real time.
One of the unexpected highlights was having front row seats to the 2026 BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival. I had never experienced something like this before and it took my breath away.
The best part was being able to unplug and enjoy the experience. Every day brought a new island, another amazing place to explore, see and do new things some of us had never done. Every stop seemed better than the last, and the entire experience was seamless from beginning to end.
If you're even thinking about chartering a catamaran in the BVI—DO IT with Awatea! It's the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and nonstop fun. This wasn't just a vacation; it was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Easy 5 stars, and we will always remember this amazing trip!

Our week of sailing was absolutely amazing! From the delicious food, endless drinks and conversation to the gorgeous water and snorkeling spots. Chef was adaptable to all our needs and pivoted her menu just for us.
I'm a unique client with a unique health background needing extra attention, and she just understood immediately. She is not just a chef, she loves nutrition, healthy, and nourishing food that is beautiful and delicious.

Just amazing. WAY, WAY beyond what we imagined. They both were professional, knew exactly what they were doing, and made outstanding efforts to exceed our expectations every day. We had 3 nice hikes – one at Little JVD and two in St. John. We skipped Coral Bay & had a beautiful anchorage in Ram Head bay with only one other boat. The meals that Chef prepared were inventive and spectacular every time. We don’t know how she does it. Captain brought out his drone & gave us some great pictures while we were underway. We had a nice sail to Great St. James and had take-out from floating “Pizza Pi” in the bay on the last night. Bluewinds was very comfortable.

We had an incredible experience aboard Tru North in the BVI.
The Captain was outstanding — professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. He always made sure we knew how the day was planned and never minded repeating things to keep everyone on the same page, which we really appreciated. We always felt safe and well taken care of.
The Chef truly exceeded my expectations. Every meal was exceptional — easily some of the best food we’ve had in the Caribbean. She even went the extra mile to accommodate preferences, making sure my meals were exactly how I like them (no vegetables), which really showed her attention to detail and care for guests.
The Deckhand was fantastic as well, handling everything from deckhand duties to housekeeping and drinks. He kept everything running smoothly at all times — and made sure the drinks kept coming one after the other. His service, energy, and attention to detail really stood out.
The yacht itself is beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment.
Overall, this was a first-class experience and one we would absolutely recommend to anyone considering a charter in the BVI.
