  CAPTAIN MARTIN

  Captain Martin started his career on sailboats and later gained valuable experience on various yachts, sailing boats, and catamarans. For many years, he has been navigating the seas and oceans as a professional, licensed Captain. Guests return to charter again because of his positive and cheerful demeanor. Having a prior career in engineering provided Martin with the experience needed to manage and care for the yachts creating a stress-free and safe charter.

  In addition to sailing, Martin enjoys freediving and swimming to connect with the marine world. In Martin’s words “Every moment at sea is an opportunity for new experiences and challenges, which I embrace with open arms. I enjoy connecting with people who wish to experience the beauty of the sea and provide them with unforgettable moments through my experience. My passion and love of the sea are the main reasons why I look forward to every new day on board.”

  CHEF SUZANA

  Chef Suzana is a passionate sailor and gourmet enthusiast. Always with a smile on her face and tons of energy, she takes pride in preparing meals for guests with her personal flair. Her love for the sea and nature has been with her since childhood so she jumped at the chance to live on a sailboat with Martin.

  Suzana learned to cook in her mother’s kitchen and as a self-taught chef, enhanced her passion with additional culinary courses. She is always trying new recipes, as cooking is a way she expresses herself. Her precision and sense of design are evident in her culinary creations and other aspects of her life.

  Traveling is her passion, but she finds exploring new cultures and flavors not only enriches her life but inspires new culinary endeavors. In addition to her culinary and sailing adventures, she worked for several years in the service industry, gaining valuable experience in hospitality and understanding the importance of excellent service. Guests appreciate her hospitality, precision, and cleanliness, which has been reflected in their positive guest reviews.

  Martin and Suzana are always ready for new challenges and adventures, as they believe life is best lived fully and passionately.

  In addition to their roles as Captain and Chef on charter yachts, they owned a beautiful Beneteau 345 sailboat for five years which they sailed extensively from Greece to Italy, Spain, the Canary Islands, and back to Spain via Italy, Croatia, Slovenia. They have also sailed and explored Australia, French Polynesia, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean Sea, the Adriatic Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Aegean Sea. Exploring new places inspires them as a couple as they discover the true freedom and beauty of the sea.

  Vacation Of A Lifetime!

  Our family recently had the vacation of a lifetime aboard Penny Jo.
  
  From the moment we stepped onboard, the crew made us feel completely at home. The captain's knowledge of the Exumas was incredible, and he took us to some of the most breathtaking locations we've ever seen. The scenery was spectacular, and every day brought a new adventure.
  
  The chef's meals were absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared, delicious, and seemed to perfectly complement our days on the water. We looked forward to every meal as much as the next destination.
  
  What truly made this trip special was the hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure our family had an unforgettable experience. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel like honored family rather than guests. They would share daily photos of us which were not only incredible but I so appreciated them as we tend to not take enough photos on family vacations!
  
  The views, the food, the experiences and the memories we made will last a lifetime. We simply can't say enough-it was fantastic in every way. If you're considering a charter in the Exumas, Penny Jo is an easy five-star recommendation!

  Nothing Short Of Extraordinary

  Sailing on the Penny Jo was nothing short of extraordinary. The moment we set out on the stunning, crystal‑blue ocean, it was obvious we were in the best hands possible. The water was so beautiful it felt unreal, and they made sure we had every opportunity to enjoy it.
  
  The chef was incredible from start to finish. Her warmth and attentiveness made the trip feel personal, and the food she prepared was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and far beyond what you’d ever expect on a boat. We were amazed at the wonderful meals she prepared in such a small kitchen. Every meal added something special to the day.
  
  The captain brought the perfect balance to the experience. His sailing skills were impressive and his timing for excursions was amazing. He always had us in the perfect spot before any crowds showed up. But it was his humor that really made the trip fun. His one liners always landed at just the right time, keeping everyone smiling without ever breaking the peaceful rhythm of the ocean around us.
  
  Together, they create an atmosphere that’s relaxed, fun, and memorable. Between the breathtaking water, the amazing food, and the effortless good vibes, our time on the Penny Jo was unforgettable.

  Perfect

  The Penny Jo is a lovely vessel that provided a perfect home for our group of 3 couples (all 65+) with various levels of sailing experience.
  It's well cared for and well provisioned.
  
  Our crew, provided a perfect experience in every way. The food, the sailing, the experiences and the anchorages all exceeded our expectations. They have a joyful and unintrusive way of providing exactly what we needed when we needed it. They are a great team, and we expect to sail with them again.
