St. Vincent – Kingstown
Pirates Bight Bar & Restaurant
Kingstown is the capital and main commercial center, known for its many beautiful churches. A few tourist attractions along cobblestone streets and colonial buildings remind you of yesteryears.
If you have time to explore more of this Caribbean island, a Jeep tour is recommended with a hike to the top of the La Soufrière volcano crater. From here you can experience vast views of the surrounding islands.
Bequia
Bequia is the second largest of the island chain and known for having a rich whaling history. The island is very safe and friendly with fishermen keen to talk to you. They will sell you fresh fish or a replica of a hand-carved whaling sailboat.
Admiralty Bay and Port Elizabeth are calm anchorages and are popular with sailors. The lush hillsides around the bay are dotted with colorful bougainvillea, making for a very pretty place to anchor. Follow a trail at the south end of Port Elizabeth Bay over a small rise to find the beautiful Princess Margeret beach. After a rocky outcrop, arrive at Lower Bay for great snorkeling. There are also easy SCUBA dive sites nearby.
Mustique
Mustique is an exclusive island offering luxury, sophistication, and privacy. Visitors include royalty and famous stars. See some of the fantastic private villas on your island tour stopping at one of the idyllic beaches of Pasture or Macaroni Bays.
There is also horseback tours for the more adventurous. Your private yacht will anchor in Britannia Bay and at happy hour take the tender in to rub shoulders with the rich and famous at Basil’s Bar built on pilings over the water.
Canouan
Canouan is a place of natural beauty and charm. Until recently, it has been mostly untouched, but now there are more high-end accommodations. Glossy Bay Marina at Pink Sands Club is where yachts and guests can use the services and restaurant.
A grocery store cafe can also be enjoyed here. Calm Waters gives you an opportunity to kayak along the shoreline, Standup Paddle-board, or get towed behind the tender in an inflatable tube.
The Tobago Cays
The Tobago Cays are close to Canouan which consists of a cluster of 5 small islands protected by a horseshoe reef. The cays have extensive coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling the azure blue shallow waters.
For a more thrilling experience, you snorkel outside the reef in ink-blue water and maybe catch sight of a reef shark. Marvel at the beautiful sea life of fish, green turtles, and rays. The Captain will take you ashore in the tender for an island barbeque on Baradel Cay and don’t forget to sign the Pirates log book at the end of the trail.
The Island Of Mayreau
The island of Mayreau is another tiny island and definitely has one of the prettiest bays. Salt Whistle Bay lays on the northern tip of the island and is very protected. Stop here to walk on the soft sandy beach lined with palm trees. There are a few local vendors selling snacks and souvenirs along the beach. Follow the only road to a small village with spectacular views of the nearby Tobago Cays. The nearby island of Ile Mopian which is just a sandy spit with a reef makes you feel like you have just been stranded on a deserted island.
Petit St. Vincent
Deserving of its name, Petit St. Vincent is the smallest island in the Grenadines chain, with just 22 individual cottages for accommodation discreetly positioned around the island. The beautiful bay offers a relaxed Caribbean experience off the beaten track. Enjoy your cocktails at sunset on the flybridge while the Captain grills some seafood to accompany the amazing meal served by your private chef.
